Our first day at the beach!

Yeah! our first visit to the beach... We went to gold coast today, to surfers paradice beach..
here are some pictures...

To be honest, it's not a easy trip to make.. It's actually a hour train ride and abount 25 min with bus to get here... But I suspect that there is an easier way to get there but that is not the route we took to day...
But we managed to arrange a huge gruop of people for the trip, Vegar took the challange and called almost everyone in his phonebook...and the result? well we were about 16 people in the group... now that's not bad...hehe :)

Going to the beach here is something else, not what I expected at all... You don't take a swim here... You just go into the water and try to stay alive against the waves...
You have to either jump to get over them or dive under... and they come in quie fast sometimes..

But it's very fun.. to "wrestle" the waves.. they actually push you back into the beach quite good.. powerfull thing this water.. hehe...

At the first picture you can see a red and yellow flag.. there are two of them on the beach.. and you are supposed to "swim" between them... and its about 100 meters between them..
At first when we were told about this at the orientation at school I could not see the point of this..
Why only swin in this little area.... Well now I know.. hehe.. the lifeguards have a huge job watching over all the people in the water, and I can understand why they want to narrow their search area.. Because it's dangerous out there..
The waves are very powerfull and can litterly knock the wind out of you... and the rips carry you out into the ocean...and they are equally strong... it's quite the fight out there..

So in addition to getting to finally take a swim I also got quite the workout.. :)
and possibly a little sunburn...

But I have to say.. today has been a very very good day:) good friends and the beach is a good combo... and I'm sure I'm going back for more :)

It looks like me doesn't it? The drawing was made by Toni Qin. A very nice girl that I met at Mt.Gravatt College residens. And she's quite talented too....she makes cartoons of what's going on around her...and they are awesome:)

And I can gladly report that I have enrolled for all my courses this semester. I am now officially a Commercial Photography student at Griffith University.. wee! hehe:)

Also it seems that we are finally getting settled in here. The only thing that's missing is my bed and internet. And internet is ordered.. coming soon I think. Things take a while in this country.

That would be all for this time I guess. Can't seem to think of anything else to write about right now. I should probably make a list of what to write about before i make the next entry, so that you don't have to read all this nonesense.... hehe:)

Time for pictures from the apartment!

Well...here they come...soon...in a while...hehhe...some of you might have been waiting for these some time now, and I'm sorry for the wait..but here they come=)

This is the view of the living room from my bedroom.
And the door to the left is actually a door into Vegar's (Fluffy) bedroom.


And this is some of my bedroom.
Yes... I'm sleeping on the floor.

So yeah.. thats the pictures of the apartment.. all that is missing is Vegar's bedroom and the bathroom....neither are rooms that you want to see:)

Just to make it clear, I did not choose to not show the bathroom because I and Vegar dont clean it or something like that.. It's just plain old ugly... And there are some wierd things there that the realestate agents are gonna fix....after that I can show you some pictures:)

Yea! living in Brisbane

So...now we have lived a few days in our apartment.....an it's eh.....kinda fun.... but we don't have any potts, pan's, glasses, plates or forks or any of those things... kinda makes it hard to make dinner and other meals......

soo....yesterday Fluffy the Brave (Vegar) went out on an noble quest to attain the needed equipment for our castle...while I stayed back and defended our humble home against dragons. and waited for the electricks guy...who stated he would come by between 1pm and 6pm....can't say I saw him though...soooo one wasted day...

well yeah...Fluffy's quest seemed to be more successful than mine. He had gotten everything wee needed and sendt it home with the stores "Home delivery service" 9 am the day after they said... wee will call and your stuff would be home at last.....

thats to day......it's 2pm..... have they called?.............no................have they even packed our stuff ready to be sent?...............................no......................did they even realize that they had a home delivery order............................no.....


nice country..... real relaxed

Moving day!

Well...now the time has come to move out of Griffith Mt.Gravatt Campus and in to our own place...
Since we don't have internet in our apartment right now there might be some time before I update this blog again...

yeah....sooooo.....I don't know what to write...... so yeah.....

Hello.... I have now figured out how I can add photos with this public computer...ahhaha

so here goes..

This first one is from the airport in Brussels... Actually the first pic taken on my trip
to downunder and one of only two taken before I got to brisbane...haha
not the most effective photographer...hehe

this is in the morning...I got to admit that I was pretty tierd of travelig at this point...

But I wasn't even halfway there...








So that is all the pictures I took during my trip....I had no energy to take my camera out more than that..hehe... jejeje...airports ain't that fun to see anyways...

Yeah...but now I'm gonna show you some pictures from where I live right now...At Mt.Gravatt Campus....

Ah....here you can see the house the dorms are in..
And under that umbrella is the smoking section...and I live in the house in the background there...

Cosy but hot as hell.... I don't know what there were thinking when they put in leather sofas....

Two reasons....
1. It was too small to get a good pic...
2. It's pretty messy...I'm living out of my suitcases...

So yeah....Oh...I forgot.... Vegar (fluffy) and I got a aparment the other day...moving in this saturday....finally our own place down here....hehe I had totally forgotten to inform this blog about that.... And whay I keep writing (Fluffy).....well that is because it's Vegar's nickname...
people here have a tendency to have som problems with the pronunciation of his name... therefore FLUFFY...everybody here know him as Fluffy...hehhe

Well...I guess this is it for now:) since we move on saturday it can be some time before I update this blog again....because we don't have internett at our place right away....
