It's been a while now
Hey folks... it's been a while since the last entry now... so figured it's time to make a new one.
It has been a bit hectic the last few days. A bunch of assignments that had to be done and of course i got sick and spent a few days in bed.... I could have updated the blog then I guess...but I forgot.. hehe
Other than that I don't have much to say at this point... I really should spend this time to write the rapport for commercial ad assignment... hehe.. but yeah... had some laundry to do first..
The last couple of days I have been in quite the drawing mood.. so I figured i could share some of the drawings I made with you... first a couple of pencil drawings and then I got in the mood for some sharpie drawings... (filt tusj) black marker...I don't really know what the name in english..hehe..any ways...here they are.. enjoy...
This is a drawing of "Deadpool" a Marvel comics character... (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadpool )
Well...this is Ironman... I guess you all know who that is... BTW Ironman 2 is in cinemas 29th of April of something like that... looking forward to it... :D
and now the pen drawings.... just random women :D

so yeah... Not sure if the drawing mood is over yet... so there might pop up some more later...
And yeah....soon....you will finally see some of the work I've been doing at school :D
Next entry will include pictures of the work I've done for the Commercial Techniques class..
and maybe some random pictures of South Bank...where I live:)
yeah....that's all from me at this time...
later y'all

Photo Camp 2010
Yes...its time for a entry with some info and pictures from Photo Camp..
It was about a two hour drive south of Brisbane... as shown on map below=)
Maybe I should warn you right now.. this is gonna be a long looong entry..
There is a lot of pictures and a fair amont of writing..hehe...
Yeah...moving on... well, so photo camp... it was a camb near a place called Lake Ainsworth..
well...the lake was named that... the little town was called Lennox Head.. anyway.
A picture of the place follows..... the camp circled...in red..

There is a huge bunch of people going to this camp every year.. Its not only 1st year students, but also 2nd and 3rd... and with teachers this adds up to be a pretty large group of people.
So then we were on the road...a nice girl named Imogen was kind enough to let us ride with her down to camp...we like Imogen....
In the car was, Imogen, Vegar (Fluffy), Charlotte, Elin and I.
Vegar (Fluffy) had shotgun in the car... long legs... and Charlotte lost the shotgun battle, because she called shotgun before the car was in sight... (Yes Charlotte...http://www.shotgunrules.com/)
Anyway...we had a lot of fun on the way down...even though it wasn't much space in the car..hehe
see...having fun..... I wont say everything that happened in the car... let's just say we had fun...
We stopped for some food... because someone forgot to eat breakfast... and I just felt like eating..
And of course I had to take a picture since it's my first time ever eating at KFC....
....and the food was...well....can't say I can tell why everyone thinks it's so awesome, it was good and that was that...
On the road again... took a while... as I said...two hour drive.. a long time for restless souls..
We got there. And just in time, a few moments after our arrival was the a gathering in the diner. Were they gave out general info and health & safety instructions...
Adam....not the one mentioned in the bible... but another one.. art photo student..
funny guy.... drinks beer...and smokes... Yes there are other people than me thats smoke down here....
Lachlan....photo journalist.. cool guy... doesn't like the HDR portrait I made for him..
he also tall...makes Vegar (fluffy) look like a normal person...
One of the walls in our lodge...
And btw...sorry for the crap quality on the pictures.. One would think that a photography student on a photo camp would take nice pictures with his fancy camera and not with his mobile phone....well...I proved you wrong...AHAHHAHHAHA
Im not quite sure what this picture is for.. It is in my lodge, but its not my bed.. anyways...
Here you can see Adam in his bed...doing som photoshopping... I just wake up from a nap if remeber correctly...
Then camp was over... three days of photographing and alcohol drinking was over.. and we were on the road again...
But before we went home....
A little trip by Byron Bay...for lunch..did infact not take a swim here..
And aslo we went up to Cape Byron. And we just had to take these typical tourist photos...
nice? hehe
YEAH! I've been to the most easterly point of the Australian mainland...
(another tourist pic....just aweful, but it had to be done for you guys back home)
And finally our proud student picked up his Nikon and started shooting.. hehe
After a little break....I'm not quite sure what happened here, but Raquel got carried but the Fluff.. And we got Scott in the background there.. looking cool in his shades an cap...
(which i fought hard for, another story for another time)
(click for larger picture)
Here is the cool HDR portrait I made for Lachlan..isn't he cute?? ahhahahhahha
(click for larger picture)
Workshop in a skatepark..just some randome bikers that were there..
(click for larger picture)
Adam turned out to be a quite good skater... so we just had to take some shoots of him aswell...

Panorama of Byron Bay
(click for larger picture)
Panorama of Boulder Beach
(click for larger picture)
Another panorama of Boulder Beach...
(click for larger picture)
More pictures form Boulder Beach.... we spent some time there..
A bit too long if you ask me.... but then there are people that are more interested in nature photography than me..sooo...
(click for larger picture)
last picture... still from Boulder Beach....
I think that is all I have to say at this time...
I'll be back with more fun later..

Time for a new entry..
Well.... its been quite some time since my last entry here.. I just got a phone call from back home and evidently there are some complaints that I haven't been writing here lately. SO! yeah...here I am writing a new entry.. The reason for my absence is school... that's right... school.
It is not like home, so there has been a lot of things that I have to learn about the school system and how they do things here at the Uni. So that has taken much of my time the last few weeks.
But I can report that the school facilities is better than what I expected. The studios are very good and the equipment storage is very well equipped. And easy access for students... just book online then go to the "store" (as they call it) and get whatever you booked from the guys... easy...he he The subjects at school is also quite interesting. But some of it is a bit heavy material.. I'm not good at maths or physics... and in some subjects there is a good portion of those... ah well, I guess I've just have to study harder...he he..
I guess its about time to post some more pictures as well... let me see if I find something worth posting...
Found one...well...what you see is a bunch of people standing around the BBQ down in one of the parks here... A good mix of Norwegians, Danes, french, Brazilian and some other people... A multi-national BBQ...hehe.... And the crowd grew some time after the picture was taken..
And here you see what is on the grill.... Well...I know its not a good pic.. but it was dark, a lot of smoke and I took the picture with my phone.... and people kept bumping me... he he
wow....I guess that was it for this time... I think I have to go out and take some pictures of the city, the school and whatnot for you people back home.. some day....
and Ragne..... I heard that you were impressed with my written English... well perhaps not quite impressed but satisfied with my skills.... you should, because if I remember correctly, you were my English teacher in elementary school.... he he ....
Yeah....that's all I have to say at this point... so I'll just post some pictures from a art show at the end for your amusement :)

Our first day at the beach!
Yeah! our first visit to the beach... We went to gold coast today, to surfers paradice beach..
here are some pictures...
And to the one side...it was the same to the other side
No point in take to pictures of the same thing.
And here are some of the people we went with..
To be honest, it's not a easy trip to make.. It's actually a hour train ride and abount 25 min with bus to get here... But I suspect that there is an easier way to get there but that is not the route we took to day...
But we managed to arrange a huge gruop of people for the trip, Vegar took the challange and called almost everyone in his phonebook...and the result? well we were about 16 people in the group... now that's not bad...hehe :)
Going to the beach here is something else, not what I expected at all... You don't take a swim here... You just go into the water and try to stay alive against the waves...
You have to either jump to get over them or dive under... and they come in quie fast sometimes..
But it's very fun.. to "wrestle" the waves.. they actually push you back into the beach quite good.. powerfull thing this water.. hehe...
At the first picture you can see a red and yellow flag.. there are two of them on the beach.. and you are supposed to "swim" between them... and its about 100 meters between them..
At first when we were told about this at the orientation at school I could not see the point of this..
Why only swin in this little area.... Well now I know.. hehe.. the lifeguards have a huge job watching over all the people in the water, and I can understand why they want to narrow their search area.. Because it's dangerous out there..
The waves are very powerfull and can litterly knock the wind out of you... and the rips carry you out into the ocean...and they are equally strong... it's quite the fight out there..
So in addition to getting to finally take a swim I also got quite the workout.. :)
and possibly a little sunburn...
But I have to say.. today has been a very very good day:) good friends and the beach is a good combo... and I'm sure I'm going back for more :)

Chineese drawing of me:) and other info

It looks like me doesn't it? The drawing was made by Toni Qin. A very nice girl that I met at Mt.Gravatt College residens. And she's quite talented too....she makes cartoons of what's going on around her...and they are awesome:)
And I can gladly report that I have enrolled for all my courses this semester. I am now officially a Commercial Photography student at Griffith University.. wee! hehe:)
Also it seems that we are finally getting settled in here. The only thing that's missing is my bed and internet. And internet is ordered.. coming soon I think. Things take a while in this country.
That would be all for this time I guess. Can't seem to think of anything else to write about right now. I should probably make a list of what to write about before i make the next entry, so that you don't have to read all this nonesense.... hehe:)
later.....
